RentMarker turns public US housing, employment, migration, supply, affordability and climate records into a consistent market-level research surface. The aim is simple: make it faster to understand what the evidence says before spending time on individual listings.
Each location keeps its measured figures, release periods and source trail together. Scored metros use the same published components and weights; places without enough evidence keep an honest “n/a” instead of receiving an invented substitute.
Who it is for
The site is built for independent investors, analysts and curious local operators who want a defensible first pass across many markets. Start with the national rankings, inspect the evidence on a market page, then test a specific property with the cash-flow tool.
RentMarker is also useful when the answer is “not enough data.” Missing evidence is a research finding, not a blank to be filled by a language model.
What it is not
RentMarker does not value a property, predict appreciation, inspect a building or know your financing, tax position, insurance quote and operating skill. Metro and county medians describe an area; they do not describe a particular address.
Nothing on the site is investment, legal, tax or lending advice. Use it to form better questions and eliminate weak candidates, then verify the deal with current local records and qualified professionals.
How publication works
Raw public files are downloaded into a reproducible data pipeline. Deterministic transforms calculate the displayed metrics and enforce arithmetic invariants before a page can build. The web release is static and never queries the database or a third-party data API when a visitor opens a page.
