The short version
RentMarker can be used without an account. The initial public release does not run advertising pixels, session replay or cross-site tracking, and it does not sell personal information.
The site is built from public market-level datasets. It is not a people-search product and does not publish visitor profiles.
Market data is not visitor data
The research pages are built from public, market-level datasets about housing, jobs, migration, permits, hazards and prices. They are not assembled from a visitor's browsing activity, email or property documents. RentMarker is not a tenant-screening, people-search or consumer-reporting service.
Location names and market figures on the site describe geographic areas. They are not visitor profiles and are not used to make an eligibility decision about a person.
What the delivery layer processes
A web request necessarily exposes ordinary connection data to the hosting layer, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, response status and referrer. The current origin does not enable an application analytics destination or a product-event collector. RentMarker does not currently collect product-interaction events. Infrastructure providers may keep limited security and reliability records under their own policies.
RentMarker does not currently use advertising identifiers, fingerprinting, session replay or cross-site behavioral profiles. This policy must be revised before analytics or advertising technology is enabled.
Cookies and data kept on your device
The current public pages do not set advertising cookies. The shortlist is stored in local storage on this device; saved cash-flow assumptions use the same browser storage so they can survive a return visit. That saved workspace is read by your browser and is not uploaded to RentMarker.
Clearing site data in the browser removes those saved values. Other tool selections may live only in the current page or URL. There is no server-side account history in the current release.
Email and correction reports
When a public inbox is configured and you choose to email RentMarker, the message, sender address and related correspondence are used to answer the request, reproduce a data issue and document a correction. Do not send financial, identity, account or property documents.
A correction email is not added to a marketing list. Newsletters, alerts and user accounts are not part of the current release. If those features are added, they require their own consent and an updated policy before collection begins.
Service providers and location
The current public origin is hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure in the United States. Certificate, DNS, email and delivery providers process only the information necessary to provide their part of the service. RentMarker does not authorize those providers to use contact messages for their own advertising.
Providers and architecture can change as the service grows. A material change that affects personal-information processing will be reflected here before or when it takes effect.
Retention and security
RentMarker follows a collect-less approach: keep only what supports delivery, security, a requested reply or a reproducible correction, and remove it when that purpose no longer requires it. A longer period may apply when records are needed to investigate abuse, preserve a correction trail or meet a legal obligation.
Transport encryption, restricted server ports, access controls and secret separation reduce risk, but no internet service can promise perfect security. Do not use email to send information the site does not need.

You can ask about a message you sent or request deletion when retention is not required for security, legal compliance or a documented data correction. Use the contact page.
The service is general-audience rental-market research and is not directed to children. It does not offer accounts or knowingly request personal information from children. Material policy changes will be reflected here with a new last-updated date.
